So watching all the madness day cartoons seemed to tug at a little part of me I thought died long ago. The part that wants to animate madness, the part that wants to be a crowd-pleaser, the part that wants to spend all day animating. But I am past that.

I have plenty on my plate, and getting used to FBF drawing has been pretty rough. Why am I getting used to FBF drawing? If you read my insanely long autobiography, you would know that I have been planning out a series of action flashes ever since I started using flash. The idea has evolved, the concept has changed, and even the character and drawing styles have adapted over the years.

I am glad to say, the begining of the project is almost here. I just want to finish a few full length movies before I set out on such an ambitious project.

My main problem with Newgrounds is that if you are trying to be a developing artist or animator, Newgrounds is by no means the place you should be at. The NG atmosphere rather promotes common immature humor rather creativity and individualism. It promotes a self-congradulatory circle-jerk rather than social commentary and satire. In short, Newgrounds would prefer you to follow along than create a stir.

Sure you may think that sick humor is on the cutting edge of contraversial, but when it has become a common ground, it is no longer unique. Hell, I cannot think of a day when Newgrounds was not this way. I am surely not saying NG used to be a great place. In fact I think alot of the people who say that are far up their own asses.

What am I saying? I just wish people would make the extra effort to improve the user base on this site. How could that happen? It has to happen on the individual basis. You yourself are the one who has to go out and put in the hours. Go outside your comfort zone, watch flashes that people you despise like, try to understand other people's motives, observe how much effort particular pieces must have taken for the author. Don't expect everyone to be God-like, don't expect everyone to understand you, don't expect everyone to agree with you. Try something new. So you like flash games? Try watching some Sick Animation. So you like Assassin? Try playing some puzzle games.

I guess this argument circles back to sprite flashes versus frame-by-frame, its not only personal preference, but the level of effort involved. If you are not willing to take the extra step and go out of your comfort zone to improve the standard of living, that's your problem. In fact, I find that only a few of the people who take these steps out into the beyond have not become spammers.

I remember watching a few episodes of Zero Punctuation, in which Yahtzee complains about how "YOU" have ruined gaming. People are so satisfied with polished turds and so afraid to step into the unfamiliar that they have altered the target market of video game developers into the casual gamer.

In NewGrounds' case, the focus of the common flash author is not the artist and animator, but the common, easily appeased viewer. Who cares about artistic merit and lasting value? What the people want are fart jokes.

Hell, this arguement goes back a long way. I think Jim Ether was the first one to lampoon popular demand so openly and blatantly. The complaint of striving artists has scarcely changed over the years.

Then we come to the popular "artists" like Egoraptor and Wonchop, who do nothing to encourage their veiwers to not worship their balls. The fan followings on NG are a terrible epidemic. In fact, I used to be a hardcore Krinkels fan. His movies were all at the top of my favorites list, and my first flashes were devoted to madness. It was when Madness day was introduced that I realized how commonplace and idiotic users like me were. Sure it is ok to like an object, but to devote your life to it is not.

Heres one for fanboys of all kinds. Your icons can take criticism. My words of scolding will not make Egoraptor burst into tears and stop making flash. In fact if this ever reaches people beyond myself and a few other spammers, I will be suprised.

Also, with my tablet I will be making a movie similar to Stinky boot Fuckers 2, but a more modern feel to it and shit. As always, Have a happy hell.

On another note, what the Hell Wade. Why would you delete turd of the week? Not only does this piss me off, it empowers the narrow-minded people who write abusive reviews for flash, don't take the time to listen to reason, and cannot find humor in their own actions. It seems lately you have been in the habit of deleting turds, but at least then you had "some" reason. I can understand deleting movies entitled "Wade's Wife is Fat" (although they are humorous), movies made to be racist, or even stuff people brag about using proxy's on. The people of Newgrounds chose to let a turd pass, and it is their fault that it was on NG.

So much for a democracy.

This is the Final KK collab, and the last you will see of them. Sure you may see more independant films, but those are just KK members saying goodbye. In fact, many of the KK movies on the portal are not made by KK members. In fact, I spent the whole day putting it together instead of working on an art project for class.

Anyways, I've started work on an epic movie. A glitchy mix between sQueef and Catoblepas. it all started as a simple loop set to something silly Kes said, and when I noticed a song on the Audio Portal, it ballooned. I plan to animate all 3 minutes of song, and it will be epic.

I may be stuck with a mouse, but I can make the most of it.

Just moved in.

If you didn't know, I am going to VCU (Virginia Commonwealth University), and will be majoring in Kinetic Imaging (a fancy term for animation).

VCU's art department is in the top ten in almost every major, and one of the top three most lauded public universities.

Suck it.
